The Beer Store - Weekly Store Signage Order
SOS has actually been in development for several years. It’s roots lie in the GET Weekly, which was built initially to help Signs of Change staff meet the constantly changing needs of store components for The Beer Store.
With approximately 440 retail locations, The Beer Store had quite a job keeping track of all the needed replacement components of its stores. The GET Weekly simplified the whole process.
No more jumping through corporate hoops to get a new store hours decal, the purchasing manager took control with the GET Weekly and they could have a replacement within days.
Armed, with a username and login, the managers could jump on the GET website, click the icon next to the store hours decal and depending on
availability of stock, the item would be shipped out with the regular weekly store mail from Corporate. What happened behind the scenes was just as straightforward. Every Wednesday, an order was automatically generated from the province-wide store requests and waybills were prepared: ready to pick, pack and ship on each Friday. The items arrived, ready to ship at head office early Monday for distribution.
In 2008 when SOS was launched the Weekly became its first customer,
allowing for greater flexibility, live inventory counts and store order records. Since then, The Beer Store now uses SOS to order replacement price tickets and the label graphics that appear on the Beer Wall and their pallet signs. It is as simple as that, no more spreadsheets.
